15 Books...

Fellow blogger The Beeze tagged me in this note on Facebook, but I figured I would rather blog about it than put up a list in a note on Facebook - so here is my list of 15 books that I have read that will always stick with me. These books are in no particular order.

  1. The Stand - Stephen King
  2. 1984 - George Orwell
  3. Helter Skelter - Vincent Bugliosi
  4. Mein Kampf - Adolf Hitler (no, I'm not a Nazi)
  5. The Years of Rice and Salt - Kim Stanley Robinson
  6. The Firm - John Grisham
  7. Animal Farm - George Orwell
  8. The Poet - Michael Connelly
  9. The DaVinci Code - Dan Brown
  10. The Tao of Pooh - Benjamin Hoff
  11. The Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck
  12. Night - Elie Wiesel
  13. A Time to Kill - John Grisham
  14. The Mars Trilogy (Red, Green, Blue) - Kim Stanley Robinson
  15. Angels and Demons - Dan Brown
I semi-cheated by including a trilogy (even though there are 3 actual "books" in the series, it is one story so I am counting it as one book - because I can do that).

What are your 15 books? Feel free to discuss them in the comments section.

The Stand is one of my all-time favorite stories! I'm a huge King fan, and have to rank his The Long Walk, written under his Richard Bachman pseudonym as my favorite work though.

I loved The Stand too. The made-for-tv movie of it blew, but the book was great.

Catcher in the Rye is a classic, but I'm not sure if it stands with me from the read or from John Lennon.
